The City of Mentor’s new web site debuted on Friday, October 30th. The new site incorporates crisp design with large photographs of city facilities and activities. The new site also features an interactive map that pinpoints the location of ballfields, shopping centers, hotels, and other attractions. And it features a more intuitive layout, a news section with archived newsletters, construction updates and press releases, and a more user friendly calendar.
Epstein Design Partners Inc. was hired for the redesign based on their exceptional work for University Circle Incorporated and the Downtown Cleveland Alliance. Epstein is a 47 year old company recognized for its creative solutions.
Kathie Pohl, the city’s director of marketing and community relations served as the project manager. “The site was created using WordPress, which is a free, state-of-the-art publishing platform that focuses on aesthetics, web standards and usability. Epstein created something for Mentor that is not only reliable and efficient, but it looks great and it’s easy to edit.” Pohl said.
