First Energy Working on Power Restoration

As of 9 AM this morning, there are over 190,000 customers in N.E. Ohio still without power.  First Energy is prioritizing repairs based on “life and limb” risk.  So, dangerous situations such as downed power lines in roadways and removing fallen trees from power lines come first, followed by hospitals and safety service agencies.  First Energy estimates that this work will likely occupy most of today, and then service restoration will begin for residential, commercial and industrial customers tomorrow.  In some cases, life and limb repairs done today may also mean service restoration.  Strict service restoration will be prioritized based on the number of customers impacted (for example, a service call that will restore 300 homes will be made before a call likely to restore a few homes).  Any further information will be updated as made available.
