Mentor CityFest is Lake County’s premier family-friendly festival with activities, games, non-stop entertainment, food, and more!

Plus, enjoy a great selection of delicious foods from over 20 vendors and don’t forget to visit with our local non profit and business vendors in the Main Street Tents!

This isn’t your average fun run! This 2.2 mile run and fun walk starts & finishes at Mentor CityFest on the grounds of Civic Center Park, and runs along the bike path. Several color zones will leave you festively decorated! Registration includes a t-shirt and post-race fun & entertainment.

Run Divisions:
Men/Women 13 & under; 14 – 17; 18 – 24; 25 – 29; 30 – 34; 35 – 39; 40 – 44; 45-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+

Awards
Top 3 overall Men & Women and Top 3 in each age division

Fees
$20 pre-race; $25 day of race  (T-shirts guaranteed to pre-race registrants only)

Packet Pick up will be Friday, August 23, 10 AM – 8 PM at Second Sole, 8791 Mentor Ave, Mentor.

Race Day registration/Check-In is from 4:30 – 5:30 PM at the pool pavilion, Civic Center Park, 8600 Munson Rd., Mentor.

Race begins at 6 PM.

Thank you for participating in the Mentor CityFest parade on Saturday, August 24, 2019. Please find all parade details below.

Parade Theme: Summer fun

Parade Staging Area: Shore Middle School, 5670 Hopkins Rd., Mentor; all participants must line up between 8:00 and 9:30 am. Parade steps off at EXACTLY 10:00 am.

Parking / Bus Shuttle: City of Mentor busses will be available at the Mentor High School west parking lot (adjacent to 615) from 8:00—9:30 a.m. to transport participants to the staging area at Shore Middle School.  Parents may ride the shuttle to Veterans Park with their child, get them checked in with their group, and then return to the High School on the bus.

Drop Off: You may drop off people at the designated location at Veteran’s Park. There is easy path access to Shore Middle School. There is limited temporary parking at Veterans. Parents may park at Veterans for a few minutes to drop off their young children with their group. We ask that you do this quickly to allow parking for others. No vehicles will be permitted at Shore Middle School unless the vehicles are in the parade.

All non-parade vehicles must be parked in the Mentor High School lot.

Arrive by 9:00 am to avoid heavy traffic and lines at check-in. The parade’s end is within easy walking distance of the Mentor High School north lot.

Parade Route: The parade begins at Shore Middle School heading south on Hopkins Road, continuing south on Center Street Extension, continuing south on Center Street. The parade then goes left on Civic Center Blvd, right on Munson and ends at the arena. Vehicles will be directed to continue on Munson Road and exit at the school board driveway. Awards will be presented at the amphitheater.

Performance for the Judges: Performing groups will have the opportunity to perform in front of the judges. Look for the judge’s station in front of the Fire Department. Please smile for the cameras, and continue marching as you perform.

Parade Time: The parade will step off at 10:00 am sharp, finishing around noon.

Awards Ceremony: There will be an awards ceremony at the amphitheater immediately following the parade. We ask that all participants join us.

Non-Food Vendors
Non-food vendors will include arts and crafts, local businesses, community organizations, churches and others wanting to participate. All vendors are stationed within our two Main Street tents. The festival map indicates where these are located on the property. To participate as a non-food vendor, please complete the following THREE forms and submit to Maggie Kuyasa, c/o Mentor Recreation, 8500 Civic Center Blvd., Mentor, Ohio  44060. Space is limited and we frequently sell out.

Food Vendors
A designated food vendor area will feature traditional fair foods, as well as local fare. To apply, please complete the following THREE forms and submit to Maggie Kuyasa, c/o Mentor Recreation, 8500 Civic Center Blvd., Mentor, Ohio  44060. Space is limited and the city reserves the right to limit and select the types of food presented by each vendor. Vendors should also review our food vendor electrical hook-up requirements here.

Mentor CityFest is a two-day festival attracting more than 20,000 people. With volunteer needs in set up and clean up, recycling, festival services, ticket and wristband sales and more, there are many ways to get involved.
