NOPEC’s Opt Out Notices in the Mail

Most Mentor residents will soon be receiving correspondence from the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) with regard to natural gas service. The City of Mentor joined NOPEC approximately ten years ago in an effort to achieve the lowest possible rates for natural gas and electricity for its residents. This is simply a service that is made available to anyone interested and residents are not obligated to participate in the NOPEC program. If you choose to NOT participate in the NOPEC program, you must return the “opt out” card and then choose another natural gas provider. Failure to return this card may result in a household being moved to the NOPEC program.

There are a number of different companies providing natural gas to residential customers. Information on natural gas providers is available at the website of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

TYLER BOULEVARD

OPINION OF PROBABLE CONSTRUCTION COST: $2,750,000

COMPLETION DATE: 9/30/2010

Funding for this project has been provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The required contract provisions detailed in ODOT’s 2008 ARRA LPA Template are included by reference.

Federal Prevailing Wage rates are applicable for this Project.

Bids must be in accordance with specifications and on forms available from The City of Mentor, Engineering Department, 8500 Civic Center Blvd., Mentor, Ohio 44060 for a non-refundable fee of $75.00.

Plans and specifications may also be reviewed during regular business hours at the Engineering Department at the Mentor Municipal Center.
