New “Hands-only CPR class” coming soon.
The new “Hands-only CPR class” will be a quick but effective overview of the “Hands-only CPR’ and will include practice to build the students confidence. “Hands-only CPR” is for use on adult sudden cardiac arrest victims and can dramatically increase their odds of survival. This course does not provide any certification, but teaches you the knowledge to help save a life and to help increase the survival rates of sudden cardiac arrest victims. This course is covered in all of the other CPR courses also. This course will be set up to hold at community events: church, meeting, block parties, etc. At this time the Mentor Fire Department is developing the curriculum and video. If interested in hosting or participating in this class please contact Public Education Specialist Nathan Peters at (440)974-5769 or peters@cityofmentor.com.
Until we roll out this curriculum here is a link to a video about Hands-Only CPR:
