Mentor City ParksThe focus of the Parks, Recreation & Public Lands Department is to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Mentor. It accomplishes this through the development and maintenance of a diverse and comprehensive system of parks and recreational facilities. Areas of responsibility include: recreation for youth, teens, and adults; operation and maintenance of three outdoor municipal pools, Ice Arena, Mentor Senior Center, Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina, Wildwood Cultural Center, various Community Centers, as well as, urban forestry, cemetery operations, facility rentals, park, athletic field and facility maintenance.

Bellflower Park

Black Brook Golf Course features 18 holes with watered fairways, cart paths, a driving range and practice putting green. There’s also a fully stocked Pro Shop, a Pavilion for catered outings and Snack Bar. Golf schools, private lessons and Junior Golf are also offered. The course is open year round, weather permitting. Civic Center Park

Civic Center Park features two indoor regulation-size ice rinks, a studio ice rink, a Community Recreation Center, plus picnic grounds and shelter, playground, Amphitheater, olympic-size outdoor swimming pool with water slide and children’s water play area, sand volleyball, baseball/softball fields, lighted tennis courts, skatepark, basketball courts and paved bike path. Mentor Beach Park

Barrier-free restrooms, picnic area, playground and soccer. Two story pavilion overlooks Lake Erie and is available for private rental. Call (440) 974-5720.

Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina

Public marina and nature preserve with dockage for 20'-50' boats, upon availability. Public restrooms. Unique setting with direct lake access and special dock rates for Mentor residents. Award-winning nature preserve includes extensive nature trails with access to Lake Erie and adjoining Mentor Marsh State Nature Preserve. Wildlife area. Mentor Municipal Cemetery

The Mentor Cemetery Association was established in 1854 to replace a more rustic burying ground near the present Center Street School. The Mentor Municipal Cemetery encompasses 60 beautiful acres. Many of Mentor's early pioneer families are buried here. (440) 974-5734

Mentor Senior Center

Award-winning contemporary facility provides activities for over 4,000 participants. Activities include arts & crafts, fitness, dance, health and social services, workshops, meals, sports, travel and special events. Barrier-free facility. Meals are served on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Transportation is provided to and from Senior Center events in cooperation with Laketran and the City of Mentor. Membership is available to those 55 and older. Fees are $5 for Mentor residents and $7 for nonresidents; members receive monthly newsletter listing upcoming activities and events.  Office hours, Monday through Thursday - 8 AM to 8 PM and Fridays - 8 AM to 5 PM. The Center hosts a number of evening and weekend programs. Volunteer opportunities also available. Facility is available for private rentals. (440) 974-5725.

Morton Community Park

Old Council Hall

Constructed in 1856, this historic building served as the first Mentor Christian Church until 1915, when it became Mentor Township Hall. The facility is available for private rentals. (440) 974-5720.
