Black Brook Golf Course was established in 1927 as the Black Brook Golf Club. It was designed by Bert Way, who is also credited with designing the South Course at Firestone Country Club in Akron, the Detroit Golf Club and Mayfield Country Club. Black Brook is just 20 minutes east of Cleveland. Access is easy from Interstate 90 or State Route 2.

Purchased by the City of Mentor in January of 2005, the public course features 18 holes with watered fairways, cart paths, a driving range and practice putting green. There’s also a fully stocked Pro Shop, a Pavilion for catered outings and Snack Bar. Golf schools, private lessons and Junior Golf are also offered. The course is open year round, weather permitting.

Course Facts

Tee Times
Scheduled tee times can be booked one week in advance. Permanent weekend times can be booked upon request and are subject to availability. Groups of 20 or more may reserve times well in advance of intended play date and are encouraged to book as early as possible. Call (440) 951-0010 to schedule your tee time.

Leagues
All leagues begin in the spring and can be booked starting in September of the previous year. Generally, Ladies 9 and 18 hole leagues play Monday through Thursday mornings, Coed leagues play Monday through Thursday evenings, and travel leagues play weekend mornings. Black Brook Golf Course has openings in various morning and afternoon leagues. Call (440) 951-0010 for more information.
