The Mentor Parks, Recreation & Public Facilities Department offers more than 1,200 ways to play each year. From art work shops, fitness classes, senior trips, and day camps to golf instruction, kayaking tours, nature walks and hockey leagues, the department offers something for everyone.
The department includes programming and services offered at the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina, Black Brook Golf Course, Wildwood Cultural Center, Mentor Senior Center, Mentor Ice Arena and general recreation sites at each of our parks and facilities.
In Mentor, we know that parks and recreation programming enhances our community and creates a great place in which to live. We provide you with opportunities to meet your neighbors, improve your health, learn something new and develop hobbies for a lifetime.
The Parks & Recreation Guide provides information on everything the Recreation Department has to offer. It is mailed to all residents in the 44060 zip code in early August (Fall issue), late November (Winter/Spring issue), and late March (Summer issue). A special camp guide is also mailed to residents in mid-January for camp registration which begins the last week in January.
Registration for Fall classes and events begins at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 4 for residents and Tuesday, August 5 for nonresidents.
