Rental a Canoe or Kayak
When you kayak or canoe your way through the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina, you will discover a new, fascinating side of this natural gem. Explore the more than 1.5 miles following the Lagoons Water Trail or paddle through Marsh Creek, the largest watershed in Mentor.
The City of Mentor offers kayak and canoe rental the first week of June through Labor Day from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. every day. Rented kayaks and canoes must remain within the protected waters of the Lagoons; lake paddling is not permitted.
Renters must be able to swim a minimum of 25 yards. Anyone under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Life jackets will be issued and must be worn at all times.
Additionally, the City of Mentor offers a number of learn-t0-paddle and recreational kayaking, canoeing and sailing courses from May – September.

Storage
If you own your own canoe or kayak, store it at the Mentor Lagoons Marina for quick access to your favorite paddling sport. Seasonal outdoor racks are available.
