You can register for any class listed here by registering in person at the Mentor Senior Center, completing and mailing this registration form (must include payment), or, if you’ve already established your account with the Mentor Recreation Department, you can click here to register online. Creative Ceramics

Join us for seasonal ceramic projects. Your creative instructor will provide instruction and firing. You can select your project. A greenware is payable to instructor and a $8 material fee is due at registration and includes paints and brushes. All levels of students are welcome.
Drawing and Drawing and Watercolor Basics Classes

Drawing Basics: Learn the ‘ABC’s of drawing’ in only six lessons. Learn or review ‘how to draw & shade’, basic shapes and perspective rules. This lays a great foundation for Drawing & Watercolor class. Supplies needed: 16 x 20 80lb sketch pad, ebony pencil & school pencils. Drawing & Watercolors: Recommended Pre-Requisite: Drawing Basics. Once the foundation’s laid with ‘shape & perspective knowledge’, landscape, figures, portraiture, and still life, drawing/painting ensues! The instructor selects, with student input, a few topics throughout the session for the students to draw OR paint. Art supplies are an 11 x 14 140 lb watercolor pad, watercolor (tubes), and drawing supplies from Drawing Basics. This class may be taken simultaneously with Drawing Basics if you are refreshing your art talent.
Tuesday Morning Quilters

Join Teri and our Tuesday morning quilters as they explore making new projects using modern & time-saving methods in a warm, friendly, and self-paced atmosphere. Focus will be on learning color, value, & construction techniques to advance your quilting knowledge. Students should bring material (based upon provided project supply list), sewing machine in good condition, sewing notions, & miscellaneous supplies (rulers, rotary cutters, scissors). An iron & ironing board is provided for your convenience.
