A Blockbuster Tribute to Great Film Personalities
Frank Krupa and Mentor’s Act One
Friday, May 21, 7-9 p.m.
You’re invited to the biggest bash ever! Frank Krupa delivers a Bravura performance as feisty, outspoken producer, Samuel Goldwyn. He talks candidly with guests, mingles with the audience, introduces film clips, conducts a trivia contest, and presents Hollywood wit and wisdom with trademark panache. A great evening of lively fun, memories, and Hollywood insider stories you’ll hear nowhere else! The show features the Act One Theater Group and surprise guests. Refreshments and souvenir program included.

Scimitars Swing Band
Wednesday, July 14, 7:30 p.m.
Mentor Senior Center
Enjoy a wonderful performance by this 17 member Swing Band that specializes in the “Big Band” sound of the 1940’s, 1950’s & 1960’s. Composers and styles represented will include Les Brown, Glenn Miller, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington and many others from the “swing” era. Dance floor will be available for your dancing pleasure. International Potluck Picnic
Tuesday, August 3, 11:30 a.m.
Mentor Beach Park
Bring a dish to share that has been a tradition in your culture or just a favorite of yours. Coffee and lemonade will be provided. Transportation is available by scheduling with LakeTran at 440-354-6100. Complimentary reservations are available at the Mentor Senior Center until July 23. The Italian Culture Group hosts this annual event; however, all are welcome to attend. #10983

A “Copland Celebration” presented by the Hillcrest Concert Band
Tuesday, September 21, 7:30 p.m.
Enjoy an evening of great music, performed by the 60 piece Hillcrest Concert Band. The music of the favorite American composer Aaron Copland will be featured at this performance. Other composers represented include George Gershwin, Akron composer Stephen Griebling and Leroy Anderson. Light refreshments will follow. Fall Flavors – A Touched By Love Presentation
Wednesday, September 22, 2-4 p.m.
Hosted by Thomas Joseph Pattison
We loved this show last September – now we can see it with some new featured performers including Tony Fortunato & the Emperors, the comedian/hypnotist Michael Oddo, Eclectica: The Blues Brother Soul Men Show, the Savelli Dancers, the Mentor Follies Dancers and the Buccaneers Choir.
