Voice
Adult
Instructor: David Debick
Singing is the only form of music-making that requires no external object (i.e. violin, drum) to produce sounds. Our voices are musical instruments. These small group sessions will teach students the basics of singing: breathing, diction, abdominal support, tone quality, phrasing, expression, etc. No prior instruction is required. Access to a keyboard in between lessons is helpful but not required.
Fun with the Guitar
All Ages
Instructor: Bob Pattison
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to pick up a guitar, strum a few notes and actually make music? Even if you don’t know how to read music, this class will give you the basics. You’ll focus on learning how to play the guitar for fun without reading music. The choice of music will be selected by the instructor and participants. You will learn the guitar components, correct finger positions, Blues scale, standard rock-n-roll progressions, chord melody techniques & strumming techniques. Students should bring their own guitars and amps.

Music takes us places that words or pictures only begin to reach. It allows you to express yourself in ways that transcend words. Give yourself or a child the gift of music training. These small group lessons will introduce the keyboard as well as the basics of piano-playing: notes, rhythm, clefs, musical terms and fundamental piano & keyboard technique. Students will need to have access to a piano or keyboard in between classes to practice.
