Mentor Farmers Market & Final Fridays

Have lunch, or dinner (or a late breakfast) at either of the two Mentor Chipotle locations on May 21 from 11 AM to 10 PM, and 50% of the sales (up to $5,000) will be donated to Mentor Farmers Market! With the help from our sponsor, Mentor Farmers Market will kick off Friday, May 31 for 15 weeks of fresh produce, baked goods, food demos and produce-related items.

NOTE: Response from growers has been overwhelming. The Farmers Market now has a full complement of produce growers. We are no longer accepting applications. Thank you!

So far, here are the vendors to expect the first week:

May 31

4evergreen Farm – less-sugar jams & jellies, maple syrup

Real Frut LLC – Real fruit shake-up beverage & fruit salad cups

Don Anna Farm – Vegetables, Fruit, Apple Butter

Noon Sharpening – Non-electric sharpening of knives, scissors, garden tools

Plants by the Yard – Annuals, organic vegetables, perennials, hanging baskets, herbs

Glacial Till Gardens – Herb plants, fresh cut herbs, fresh cut flowers, edible flowers, herb planters

Stone Dragon Bakery – Artisan breads, granola, and other goods baked in a wood fire brick oven

Golden Barkery – Dog treats/baked goods

Vernal Growers – Herbs, Stevia, garlic, basil, flower plants and other seasonal vegetables.

Cormack’s Market Garden – Swiss chard, spinach, Asian greens, lettuce, kale and other seasonal vegetables.

True Earth Farms – Vegetables, chicken, eggs and cheese.

Janice’s Jams & Jellies – Jams and jellies made from wine.

Miller’s Certified Organic Produce – Wide assortment of vegetables, three kinds of kale, onions, basil, berries,
honey, jams, maple syrup, chard and bok choy.

The Wood Road Salad Farm – Lettuce and greens, root crops, heirloom tomatoes, flower bouquets,
garden plant starts and more.

West Orchards – Asparagus, kale, chard

The Pie & Pastry Lady – Fresh baked pies and other treats.

On June 7 and August 23, look for a special appearance by Chef Jarrod McCarthy for a cooking demonstration using fresh produce from our market.

chipotle logoJuly 26IT’S CHIPOTLE DAY AT THE MARKET! Chipotle prides itself on serving fresh, locally grown produce. They will provide giveaways like tomato grow kits to the kids and demonstrate how to make their naturally fresh & superb salsa.

Music by KB and The Riptides, Flower Clown Balloon Artist and Sadie Jane Facepainter, and special salsa making demonstrations by Chipotle Restaurant of Mentor, using local ingredients.

August 30 – Music by Summer of 65, Outback Ray (5-6 PM), Flower Clown Balloon Artist and Sadie Jane Facepainter
