Mentor is one great shopping destination — with nearly 600 retail businesses. In fact, so many people come here to shop, that Mentor ranks 7th in Ohio in total retail sales! (The top ten in order are: Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo, Cleveland, Akron, Kettering, MENTOR, Dublin, North Olmsted and Cuyahoga Falls.)
In 1961, the Great Lakes Mall opened as the world’s largest indoor shopping mall. While it’s no longer the largest, its still pretty impressive with 1.5 million square feet of retail space on 125 acres of land. The mall contains 110 stores and is anchored by J.C. Penney, Macy’s, Sears and Dillard’s department stores and has recently completed a multi-million dollar remodeling.

When it’s time for a break, shoppers can chose from one of the 160* food service establishments in Mentor. We welcomed Skye Bistro, Frank & Pauly’s, and Girves Brown Derby while Maracas, Zoup!, Burger Fi and Melt Bar & Grilled are opening Mentor locations soon.
