Located on Ohio’s north coast, Mentor is about a 20 minute drive east of downtown Cleveland. It is the largest city in Lake County with a population of 51,825 (2008 census estimate).
Mentor’s economic climate is excellent. Business activity has been steadily increasing — and despite national declines in manufacturing, Mentor’s base continues to grow. Major products include medical related, polymers, plastics, electrical boards and other peripherals that generally service the computer and automation industries. An array of small businesses in diversified industries contribute to the strength of Mentor’s overall economic base.
An aggressive economic development program coupled with strong leadership, superb recreational opportunities and an unparalleled quality of life ensure that Mentor will remain the City of ChoiceSM well into the future.
