EMERGENCY DISPATCHER – PART-TIME
A part-time Emergency Communications Dispatcher is needed for the City of Mentor. Responsibilities include processing emergency calls from the public, determining priorities, and dispatching emergency units. Work entails exercising judgment in coordinating responses to situations that may affect the lives and safety of the public, police and fire personnel. Work relies heavily on the use of complex computer and technical equipment. Advanced multitasking skills are necessary. Must be available to work rotating shifts and some weekends/ holidays. High school graduation or GED required. Prior emergency dispatch and computer experience required. Hourly rate of pay: $13.72 – $20.48 DOQ. RECREATION SPECIALIST – PART-TIME
The City of Mentor is seeking a part-time Recreation Specialist to provide coordination and oversight of the city’s ice hockey program. The selected individual must have the appropriate skating certifications, knowledge of ice hockey, and the ability to communicate effectively and direct the activities of program participants. This position requires 20-25 hours per week with a varying schedule. Starting rate of pay: $15.15/hr. High school graduate/GED required. TEMPORARY PART TIME OFFICE ASSISTANT II
This is a temporary, part-time clerical position working approximately 25 hours per week Monday through Friday. Duties include reviewing and exporting Emergency Medical Service reports to the billing vendor for the city and reviewing monthly charge reports for accuracy. Other responsibilities to include data entry, typing, filing, ordering supplies, answering phones and providing information to the public as well as support to chief officers and administrative staff. Computer background with data entry and good math skills required. Experience in Word, Excel and Access. Good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task. The City of Mentor Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of part-time firefighter/EMT. Must be a US Citizen or be eligible to legally work in the US, at least 18 years of age, have a valid Ohio Drivers License, High School Diploma or GED. Minimum qualifications include the completion of Ohio Firefighter 1 and EMT Basic training. Firefighter II, Paramedic training along with some experience is preferred. Applicants must successfully complete all hiring requirements. Starting rate of pay: $15.88/hr. Other compensation incentives are available.
