 The City of Mentor is seeking an individual to work full-time as a Building Maintenance Aide II.   The successful candidate will have experience in some or all of the building trades (plumbing, electrical, masonry, carpentry, HVAC) and have knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and procedures and as they relate to facilities. The Building Maintenance Aide II will be responsible for the performance of work and supervision of other maintenance personnel. The Building Maintenance Aide will have on-call responsibility to respond to off-hours facility emergencies. High school graduation (or GED) supplemented by vocational coursework in building, construction, maintenance, HVAC systems or other related courses and a valid driver’s license is required. Computer skills working with Microsoft Office is a plus. Non-exempt position annual range of pay: $40,173–$57,656 (DOQ).  Maintenance Aide Job Description



The City of Mentor Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of part-time firefighter/EMT. Must be a US Citizen or be eligible to legally work in the US, at least 18 years of age, have a valid Ohio Drivers License, High School Diploma or GED. Minimum qualifications include the completion of Ohio Firefighter 1 and EMT Basic training. Firefighter II, Paramedic training along with some experience is preferred. Applicants must successfully complete all hiring requirements. Starting rate of pay: $15.88/hr. Other compensation incentives are available.
