The City of Mentor is seeking an experienced information technology professional to serve as its Technology & Project Lead. This full-time position is responsible for the implementation, operation and maintenance of the city’s technology and information systems networks. Duties include researching and evaluating technology to meet the needs of the city using IT Key Metrics and PMI Standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years work experience in one or more of the domain areas. Experience is required with Microsoft Servers (Virtual, SQL, Exchange, etc.) with an understanding of the Network Layers topology. Knowledge, experience, or understanding of Esri’s ArcGIS platform required along with comprehensive technical experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols. Education may be substituted for work experience.   BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required. Salary range: $56,461 – $81,154 (DOQ) + comprehensive benefit package.  Technology & Project Lead Full Job Description



The City of Mentor Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of part-time firefighter/EMT. Must be a US Citizen or be eligible to legally work in the US, at least 18 years of age, have a valid Ohio Drivers License, High School Diploma or GED. Minimum qualifications include the completion of Ohio Firefighter 1 and EMT Basic training. Firefighter II, Paramedic training along with some experience is preferred. Applicants must successfully complete all hiring requirements. Starting rate of pay: $15.88/hr. Other compensation incentives are available.
