ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY

 The City of Mentor is seeking a full-time Administrative Secretary to work in the Engineering and Building Department. Strong secretarial and interpersonal skills along with the demonstrated proficient use of Microsoft Office computer programs are required. The ability to work with confidential information, take initiative, prioritize work and use discretion while operating within the margins of departmental policies and procedures is necessary. High school graduate (or GED) supplemented by college-level course work in business or secretarial science is required. Annual rate of pay: $42,188 plus a comprehensive benefit package. OFFICE ASSISTANT II

The City of Mentor is seeking an individual to work as a full-time Office Assistant II in the records area of the Police Dept. This position requires the ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Considerable contact with the public requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software. The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain certification to operate LEADS functions. Knowledge of Ohio’s Public Records Law desired, graduation from high school or GED required. Hours of work are M-F 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., starting annual pay rate: $33,065 plus a comprehensive benefit package. PART-TIME FIREFIGHTER/EMT

The City of Mentor Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of part-time firefighter/EMT. Must be a US Citizen or be eligible to legally work in the US, at least 18 years of age, have a valid Ohio Drivers License, High School Diploma or GED. Minimum qualifications include the completion of Ohio Firefighter 1 and EMT Basic training. Firefighter II, Paramedic training along with some experience is preferred. Applicants must successfully complete all hiring requirements. Starting rate of pay: $15.88/hr. Other compensation incentives are available.
