 The City of Mentor is seeking a School Crossing Guard to work part-time during the school year at street intersections and crossings in close proximity to public elementary schools moving children safely to and from school.  Early morning and afternoon hours are required on each school day for 15 hours of work per week. The ability to communicate effectively with school-aged children, motorists, and the public is required.  School Crossing Guards are required to work outside in all types of weather.  High school graduation (or GED) is required. The City of Mentor Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of part-time firefighter/EMT. Must be a US Citizen or be eligible to legally work in the US, at least 18 years of age, have a valid Ohio Drivers License, High School Diploma or GED. Minimum qualifications include the completion of Ohio Firefighter 1 and EMT Basic training. Firefighter II, Paramedic training along with some experience is preferred. Applicants must successfully complete all hiring requirements. Starting rate of pay: $15.88/hr. Other compensation incentives are available.
