The City of Mentor will host a ceremony of remembrance on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Mentor Safety Forces Memorial. Twenty-five years after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, we gather to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost in New York, at the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93, and to remember the first responders who ran toward danger that morning.
All are invited to stand together in remembrance as we reflect on sacrifice, service, and the spirit of unity that followed that fateful day.
The memorial is located between the Mentor Police Department and Mentor Fire Station No. 5 at 8500 Civic Center Boulevard.
