Hometown Heroes Banner Program Returns in 2018

The City of Mentor is continuing our Hometown Heroes Banner Program to honor Mentor residents who have served our country in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard.

Banners will be displayed from Memorial Day through Veterans Day on light posts along Civic Center Boulevard and on Munson Road between Civic Center Boulevard and Market Street. Families and organizations can sponsor banners for $100 each to cover production costs. Those who so desire, may pick up banners after November 14th when the display period ends.

Banners measure 24” x 48” and are double sided. Please note that the City of Mentor is not responsible for replacing banners that are stolen, damaged or destroyed due to age, vandalism, or any acts of nature.

Please return the application form, along with your preferred method of payment, and a high-resolution photo. All hard‐copy photos will be returned to you. You may bring a photo to the Mentor Municipal Center and have it scanned while you wait. Digital photos in jpeg, png or tif format should be emailed to the Public Information Office at pubinfo@cityofmentor.com. If you are emailing a photo, it should be at least 2,400 x 2,400 pixels.

Banners will be available for pickup after November 14, 2018. Contact the Public Information Office at (440) 974-5794 with any questions.
