Enjoy incredible live music throughout the weekend. We’ll kick off with your favorite 70’s dance music with Disco Inferno Friday night from 8 – 11 p.m. at Civic Center Amphitheater. Angry Young Men will start Saturday night with classic alt rock from the 80’s – 00’s from 5 – 6:30 p.m. also at Civic Center Amphitheater. Our headline act, the Chicago-based, nationally acclaimed Beatles tribute band, BritBeat, will pack Mentor High School’s Jerome T. Osborne Stadium for a stunning visual and musical concert, ending in an amazing fireworks show. We’ll end the festival back to Civic Center Park with the rockin’ pop country sounds of Monica Robbins and the Ninja Cowboys from 9 – 11 p.m. at Civic Center Amphitheater.
Enjoy your favorite adult beverages at our new Beer & Wine garden located near the Main Street and Community Corner tents. Enjoy a chance to win prizes as Hooley House will bring their Pub Trivia game for Happy Hour Friday night from 6 – 8 p.m. or try out our new CityFest Plinko game. For wine lovers, we’ve created a wine tasting event on Saturday from 2 – 5 p.m. with no pre-registration necessary.
And the festival food – have we got you covered! We have traditional foods like sausage sandwiches, funnel cakes, lemonade and kettle corn, plus new twists like spiral spuds, fresh juices, and more.
We’re happy to welcome the Cincinnati Circus Company with its flying trapeze show, stilt walkers, acrobats, flame throwers and more. People of all ages will enjoy their free stunning performances at 7 p.m. Friday, and 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of Civic Center Park. At other times throughout the festival, guests can try their own skills at the giant trapeze for only $5. Purchase tickets at the festival.
Giant inflatables for kids of all ages will fill the grounds of Civic Center Park. Buy a single-day wristband for $5 or a two-day wristband for $8. Ride a trackless train along paved paths, grab your friends for a game of indoor laser tag, stop by the arcade tent, or try out more than a dozen reasonably priced community-run games. Aquatics games will take place at Civic Center Waterpark and open skates and ice skating exhibitions are scheduled throughout the weekend at Mentor Ice Arena. Also, Mentor Farmer’s Market will be open Friday from 3 – 7 p.m. on the festival grounds.
The Mentor CityFest parade will kick off from Shore Middle School Saturday at 10 a.m. and make its way to the festival grounds via Hopkins, Center Street and Civic Center Boulevard. It features more than 100 groups, the Mentor High School Marching Band, and our new City of Mentor float. Parade applications are available on the Mentor CityFest website (see below).
Enjoy watching the competition of the Skyhoundz Canine Frisbee Competition World Qualifier at the Civic Center ball fields from 9 – 3 p.m. Saturday. Visit our Touch A Truck display with a dozen, huge vehicles on Saturday from 12 – 2 p.m. then stop by the Amphitheater to see who wins our friendly Mentor Family Feud from 2 – 3:30 p.m.
In our Business Expo tent sponsored by Eye Lighting Inc., guests will have the opportunity to see innovative displays some of Mentor’s largest manufacturers.
In the Main Street tent sponsored by Aqua Ohio, and the Community Corner area, festival-goers can visit with the many local businesses, service organizations and non-profits that call Mentor home.
Parking for the festival will be at Mentor High School, Mentor Senior Center, Mentor Fire Station #5, in front of the Mentor Police Department, and at the Laketran parking lot on Market Street. Handicapped parking for those with a permanent Ohio handicapped plaque will be at Mentor High School near the stadium.
Or ride your bicycle to Mentor CityFest! The Bicycle Hub will provide free bike valet services and bicycle safety inspections near Civic Center Waterpark for the duration of the festival. Those valeting their bikes will have a chance to win prizes, too!
