Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) has released new electric rates for Ohio Edison and Illuminating Company communities, providing residents with flexible and predictable pricing options. Effective January 2026, NOPEC members can select from the following plans:
- Standard Program Price: 8.999 cents/kWh (valid January–May 2026 meter reads)
- 12-Month Fixed Term: 8.498 cents/kWh
- 24-Month Fixed Term: 9.198 cents/kWh
The 12-month and 24-month fixed-term rates guarantee pricing for the entire selected term, offering stability in an evolving energy landscape.
