
HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING
Get in on the holiday spirit at the city’s annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony which will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Mentor Municipal Center. Santa will arrive in his horse drawn carriage and will be available for photos while Mentor choirs sing everyone’s holiday favorites. Light refreshments will be available. All are invited to this FREE event. The Mentor Municipal Center is located at 8500 Civic Center Boulevard.
MENTOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Mentor City Council will meet on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 7:00 PM in council chambers located on the third floor of the Mentor Municipal Center. Mentor City Council meetings are open to the public and are broadcast live on the Mentor Channel, Spectrum 1024, U-Verse 99, and on our App available for ROKU, Apple, Android, and Amazon Fire. Meetings are rebroadcast numerous times throughout the following week.

BE A SANTA TO A SENIOR
The Be a Santa to a Senior giving tree is up in the Mentor Municipal Center lobby and loaded with tags for senior citizens in need right here in Lake County. If you would like to participate, please choose a tag, or tags, and purchase the gift listed. When you are finished shopping, please return the unwrapped gift (with the tag attached to it) to the box located next to the tree no later than December 5, 2025. The Mentor Municipal Center is located at 8500 Civic Center Boulevard, Mentor OH 44060 and is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
YARD WASTE PICKUP
The yard waste program continues for two more weeks through December 12, 2025. Residents who receive curbside service can place up to 25 units at the curb on trash day for pickup. A unit is one bag, bundle or container of yard waste. Learn more.
