Police

As Chief of Police for the City of Mentor, I take great pride in welcoming you to our improved Mentor Police Department website. If you are new to this site, or if you are a returning visitor, I think that you will learn something about the department, and the commitment of the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving the citizens and visitors of Mentor.Police-Chief.jpg

The Mentor Police Department is dedicated to delivering pro-active law enforcement services to the community through an established partnership with its citizens. Each member of the department is committed to providing quality and professional services during each citizen contact.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve our service to the community and we invite you to take part in this effort. Please complete our Community Survey form. Your views are very important to us and your responses will be anonymous.

I hope you find your visit to this site worthwhile, informative, and worthy of return visits. We will strive to keep information fresh and up to date. New additions include “What’s New” and updated “Traffic Tips,” a history of the department, and recognition of departmental award winners. We have also included considerable information on the various divisions and units within the department. For an overview of 2008 activities, read our 2009 Annual Report.  Other sections and links are in the planning stages. We welcome suggestions if there is something that you feel should be included on the site. Should you require further information or assistance, please contact us at (440) 974-5760 or at police@cityofmentor.com.
