The City of Mentor is implementing a Hometown Heroes Banner Program to honor Mentor residents who have served our country in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard.

Banners will be displayed from Memorial Day through Veterans Day on light posts along Civic Center Boulevard and on Munson Road between Civic Center Boulevard and Market Street. Families and organizations can sponsor banners for $100 each to cover production costs.  Those who so desire may pick up banners after November 15th when the display period ends.

Banners measure 24” x 48” and are double sided. Please note City of Mentor is not responsible for replacing banners that are stolen, damaged or destroyed due to age, vandalism, or any acts of nature.

Please return your completed application on page two, along with your preferred method of payment, and a high-resolution photo.  All hard‐copy photos will be returned to you. Digital photos in jpeg, png or tif format should be emailed to the Public Information Office at pubinfo@cityofmentor.com. If you are emailing a photo, it should be at least 2,400 x 2,400 pixels.

Deadline for inclusion is May 1, 2017 or until all positions are filled. Banners will be available for pickup after November 15, 2017.

Honorees must be (or have been) residents of the City of Mentor.

Contact the Public Information Office at (440) 974-5794 with any questions.
