American Red Cross Volunteers

Since Clara Barton founded the American Red Cross 140 years ago, Red Cross volunteers have stepped up to adapt in the face of change and give hope to people during life’s emergencies. While we can’t stop emergencies from happening, together, we can help ensure that people never face them alone. Consider volunteering for the American Red Cross and help chart the path forward for years to come! The most needed volunteer positions are:

  • Disaster Action Team Members respond to local disasters and provide immediate assistance, including shelter, food and comfort following a home fire or other emergency.
  • Blood Donor Ambassadors greet, check in and thank blood donors at blood drives
  • Transportation Specialists transport and deliver lifesaving donated blood.
