The Mentor Police Department is committed to the safety and education of its residents and business community. The Mentor Police Department Crime Prevention Unit provides community services such as business and home security surveys and prevention tips on robbery, theft, frauds against the elderly, and financial fraud. The Crime Prevention Unit also provides information for personal safety and Neighborhood Block Watch groups. In addition, the Crime Prevention Unit conducts a variety of programs for public and private schools/daycares such as the Officer Phil and Third Grade Seatbelt programs. Officers are available to speak to special interest groups and provide tours of the Mentor Police Station upon request.
