Mentor Police will be hosting their seventh annual Fill-a-Cruiser Food Drive on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Giant Eagle supermarket located at 8383 Tyler Boulevard.

Officers will be collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations. Donated food is distributed to food pantries to benefit families within the City of Mentor.  The money will be used to support Mentor’s Kops-N-Kids program.

The Kops-N-Kids program is a volunteer program started in 1983 that provides holiday gifts for kids in need. The program accepts outside donations and holds an annual golf outing to raise funds for the program.  Families are identified with the help of the Mentor School System, the Mentor’s Victim’s Assistance program as well as police officers themselves.

To date, generous donors have filled 14 police vehicles with food and over $10,000 in cash to support Kops-N-Kids.
