Now that spring is in full swing, we wanted to remind residents to keep our storm drains clear.

Please don’t sweep grass clippings, fertilizer, stone, dog waste, or other contaminants into the storm drain.  These contaminants have the potential to clog the sewers. Organic and chemical waste can make their way through the system and into Mentor Marsh, potentially harming aquatic life and contributing to algae growth.

Remember, it’s up to all of us to keep Mentor beautiful.
