Heroes come in many different shapes and sizes. Often, the heroes among us are right in front of our eyes, quietly doing their duty to help keep us safe.
Each May, the Light Ohio Blue campaign takes place as a way to show appreciation for our law enforcement personnel. The program began in Central Ohio in 2016 and has grown to include communities across the state including Mentor.
Here’s how you can participate:
- Place a blue bulb on your exterior porch light
- Wrap blue Christmas lights around your home or business
- Light up your entire home or business with blue flood lights
- Place blue ribbons on your mailbox, nearby columns or posts
- Wear Blue on May 15th
