The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor increased to 4.4% for the month of July 2019.  One year ago, the unemployment rate was 4.4%.  In Lake County, the unemployment rate increased to 4.6% from 4.3% for the month of July.

The City of Mentor’s unemployment rate is the fourth lowest at 4.4% among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more. Lakewood has the lowest unemployment rate of 3.9%. The City’s civilian labor force increased by 500 to 27,500.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate increased 0.4% to 4.6% for the month of July.
