The City of Mentor has been advised by Waste Management that plastic bags containing yard waste have recently been appearing on tree lawns for regular weekly yard waste pickup. Although plastic bags may be compostable (long term), they are not accepted at their processing facility. These bags are designed for trash and to go to a landfill. Please use paper bags only please.
Residents are advised that yard waste left curbside in plastic bags will not be collected.
