The Mentor Police Department will be joining with other law enforcement agencies, in dedication to protecting the lives of residents, in support of the 2021 “Drive Sober or get Pulled Over” campaign. The campaign is a national program designed to remind motorists of the dangers of drunk driving. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration one person is killed about every fifty-two minutes in a drunk driving crash.
As part of the campaign, the Mentor Police Department will be targeting impaired drivers from August 18 through September 6, 2021. During these dates Mentor patrol units will be on the city roadways looking for impaired drivers.
We would like to remind you if you drink, please drink responsibly, and make the safe choice not to drink and drive.
