Potential natural gas odor near Painesville Township-Mentor border
Residents and travelers may detect a natural gas odor in the vicinity of SR-2 and SR-44 beginning Thursday, June 25, 2015.
Dominion crews will be in the area conducting scheduled maintenance of a high-pressure natural gas line near the Lubrizol Plant on Freedom Road in Painesville Township. Part of the process involves venting of the line.
The odor should be localized to the area surrounding the plant. However, it may expand depending on wind speed and direction. The odor may be intermittent over the course of the next 4 to 5 days.
