Classic car buffs may think they’ve gone to heaven on Saturday, August 8th at the Mentor Cruise-In. Now in its 14th year, this free event is expected to attract over 1,000 cars and 2,500 enthusiasts to Mentor Civic Center Park.
“We’re really looking forward to this year’s Cruise-In,” says Nick Standering, Recreation Coordinator, “We’ve worked hard to make it bigger and better than ever with refreshment vendors and a DJ who will be providing entertainment throughout the day.”
The main attraction, of course, are the cars. Car lovers will find a seemingly endless array of classic rides. Registration for those showing off their automobiles is free as well. First arrivals will receive goodie bags and dash plaques. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the event.
Mentor City Council President Ray Kirchner has been involved in the Mentor Cruise-In since its inception. He says, “An event like this helps bring people in our community together. We get people of all ages who attend to share their love of cars.”
The event will be held rain or shine from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Mentor Civic Center Park is located at 8500 Civic Center Boulevard, Mentor, OH 44060. Learn more at www.mentorcruisein.com or call (440) 974-5735.
