Headlands BeachFest is a family-friendly event which celebrates the elements of wind, water, and sand on Ohio’s longest beach. The event will be held at Headlands Beach State Park on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The “ultimate beach party” features all-day entertainment, hands-on activities, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, and more. It’s highlighted by the Ohio Master Sand Sculpting Competition which features three world champion sand sculptors who will build their larger-than-life creations over three days. Work will begin on Thursday, July 13th and will be completed sometime Saturday afternoon when BeachFest attendees will have the opportunity to vote for, and crown, the winner of this year’s competition.
Kids of all ages will also have plenty of opportunity to get their hands dirty by competing in the Family Sandcastle Building Contest and participating in a number of other activities as well. Activities are planned throughout the day so the little ones will always have something fun to do.
Arts and crafts vendors will be selling a variety of beach-themed items including apparel, jewelry, accessories, and more. And, be sure to come hungry because a dozen of the area’s favorite food trucks will be on hand selling their tasty treats too.
Headlands BeachFest is presented by Remarkable Lake County and supported by Meijer, Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, and Mimi Vanderhaven. First hosted in 2014, BeachFest attracts upwards of 15,000 visitors annually from across Northeast Ohio as well as surrounding states.
Free admission and parking. Headlands Beach State Park is located at 9601 Headlands Road.
