The Mentor Community Recreation Center (MCRC) is now open and serving the residents of our community. The facility features a variety of programs and activities for people of all ages and abilities.
Measuring in at nearly 130,000 square feet, the MCRC is among the largest indoor facilities of its kind in northeast Ohio. It features a soccer field, four pickleball courts, four tennis courts, two multi-use courts for basketball and volleyball, four racquetball courts, two golf simulators, a cycle room, indoor and outdoor pool, a fitness room, free weight area, two aerobics areas, kid’s corner, and much more!
Hundreds of classes and programs are available to help get you – and keep you – in shape. Whether you want to try your hand at fencing, soothe your mind and body with yoga, or participate in a high-energy basketball or soccer league, there is sure to be an activity that appeals to every member of your family.
The former Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club was purchased by the city in late 2021. The facility closed in spring 2022 for extensive renovations and reopened this past summer. And those renovations can best be described as “transformative” as nearly every surface in the fifty-year old building has been improved and most equipment has been replaced. The MCRC also has an ample number of exercise stations, so you are sure to have access to a machine any time of day.
Affordable memberships are available for residents and non-residents. Payment plan available subject to administrative fees, contact the MCRC for details. Day passes can be purchased for $10 per person.
The Mentor Community Recreation Center is open 7 days per week and located at 6000 Heisley Road in Mentor.
