PUBLIC NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR VARIANCE BEFORE THE MENTOR MUNICIPAL BOARD OF BUILDING AND ZONING APPEALS

BUYERS PRODUCTS, 8200 TYLER REALTY, LLC, & BPC REALTY HOLDINGS, LLC FOR 8120, 8200 & 8230 TYLER BOULEVARD, PP16-B-036-0-00-004,011-0 & 16-B-037-0-00-019-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1171.18(d)(2) A, B & C & 1171.16(f)(1) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a ground sign with an overall area of 111.8-sq.-ft., height of 11-ft., and width of 10.17-ft., in lieu of ground signs shall have a maximum area of 40-sq.-ft., maximum height of 10-ft., and maximum width of 5-ft., and that off-premise signs are prohibited in the M-2, Heavy Manufacturing District.
BRILLIANT ELECTRIC SIGN CO. & CLEVELAND CLINIC HEALTH SYSTEM – EAST REGION FOR 8300 NORTON PARKWAY, PP16-A-009-0-00-017-0 requesting a variance to Sec.1171.18(d)(2) A, B & D of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a 48.68-sq.-ft. ground sign with a height of 10.25-ft. in lieu of ground signs shall have a maximum area of 40-sq.-ft. and maximum height of 10-ft.; and to allow a ground sign at a 1-ft. setback from the right-of-way in lieu of required 5-ft. front setback in the C-1, Conservation District.
ELLET SIGN COMPANY & LIFE POINT, INC. FOR 7671 JOHNNYCAKE RIDGE RD., PP16-A-005-0-00-001-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1171.20(e)(1) & (4) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow 151.35-sq.-ft. of new side wall signage in lieu of side wall signs shall not exceed 6-sq.-ft. This brings the total wall sign area for the building to 256.21-sq.-ft. in lieu of maximum allowable wall sign area of 20-sq.-ft. in the R-4, Single Family Residential District.
