Boston was formed in 1975 and immediately blazed up the charts with hits like “More Than a Feeling”, “Peace of Mind”, and “Smokin'”. The band sold over 75 million records worldwide and defined AOR radio in the late 70s and early 80s.
Don’t Look Back – The Boston Experience is an incredible re-creation of the rock band Boston, and its original 70’s character members , complete with all the looks, costumes and sound. It’s the only show of its kind in the world, playing a 90+ minute show of all the famous Boston hits.
Don’t Look Back will perform at Mentor Rocks on July 1, 2025. Guitarist and band leader Rick Hunter took a moment to let us know what to expect when the ship lands in Mentor.
What inspired you to start this tribute band?
Boston is an iconic band that was a void in the tribute industry.
How long has your band been together?
We’ve been together for over 15 years. There were a few member changes early on but that elevated the show presentation.
What’s your favorite onstage moment?
Seeing the hardcore fans wearing their Boston tour shirts and singing along to the songs.
What’s your favorite Boston song(s) to perform?
The three that immediately come to mind are “Amanda”, “More Than a Feeling”, and “Smokin’”. We love seeing the fans hold up their lighted phones during “Amanda” and watching them sing along to “More Than a Feeling”. “Smokin’” highlights our two guitarists as they play each other’s guitars. The crowd always remembers that moment of the show.
What are you looking forward to for your Mentor Rocks date?
Being part of your event, working with all the staff and production, and returning to Ohio to meet and make new fans.
What can fans expect to see at your Mentor Rocks date?
A high energy show that interacts with the audience.
Do you have another side gig?
Some of the band members are in other tributes that can be found on Facebook.
Any other message for the fans?
We are excited and looking forward to being part of Mentor Rocks and hope we can return to do more shows for all of the Boston fans in Northeast Ohio! We thank everyone for their continued support so we can continue to do what we love!
