The City of Mentor is proud to announce that Mentor Lagoons Marina has been recertified as an Ohio Clean Marina.
Following a positive site review on April 6, 2026, the marina has once again earned this prestigious designation. By voluntarily adopting measures to prevent pollution and protect our local waterways and land, Mentor Lagoons Marina continues to set a strong example of environmental stewardship for the recreational boating community and all of Ohio.
This certification is valid for the next five years and underscores the marina’s ongoing commitment to clean water and air quality for generations to come.
The Ohio Clean Marinas Program is a partnership between the Ohio Sea Grant College Program (at The Ohio State University), the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Ohio Marine Trades Association. The program is designed to encourage marinas and boaters to use simple, innovative solutions to keep Ohio’s coastal and inland waterway resources clean.
