The Cleveland Museum of Natural History will be aerially seeding the eastern basin (130 acres) of the Mentor Marsh tomorrow, January 21, 2021, with 1,200 pounds of native historical wetland plant mix. In addition, they will be seeding a 15-acre area just east of Corduroy Road along the southern marsh and shoreline area. The seeding is done in January to help the seeds stratify and eventually germinate, and to avoid the eagles whose egg-laying window starts mid-February through mid-March.
The work should begin mid-morning and will take much of the day.
Please do not call 911 unless you are having an emergency.
