The “Be a Santa to a Senior” gift giving tree in the Mentor Municipal Center will be in the lobby from November 1st through December 9th. This wonderful program is a way we can give back to our community by providing not only gifts, but much needed human contact to our senior citizens in need.
Last year, a total of 565 gifts were wrapped and delivered to 157 seniors in Lake County. Of those 565 gifts, over 350 came from our single Mentor Municipal Center tree alone!
Come by and simply pick an ornament, buy the item listed, and return it to the front desk or to the police records room. The gift wishes are simple items such as new slippers, crossword puzzles, warm blankets and stamps.
This year, we will also be hosting a gift wrapping party in the lobby of the Municipal Center on Thursday, December 15th starting at 10 AM and continuing until all gifts are wrapped.
The Mentor Municipal Center is located at 8500 Civic Center Boulevard, Mentor OH 44060 and is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
