Center Street Overpass

Two-way traffic pattern to be tested for two weeks.

Late last week, the City of Mentor and ODOT District 12 met to discuss the traffic pattern on the SR 615 (Center St.) bridge deck replacement project between Carpenter Dr. and Lindsay Dr. over the railroad. In an effort to maintain access to business and residents around the bridge, the group decided on a different traffic pattern than originally planned.

On Monday, March 20, weather permitting, traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction. This differs from the original plan for two lanes of northbound traffic to be maintained and southbound traffic being detoured.

This new traffic pattern will be in place for a two-week trial period. If safety measures are met, this traffic pattern will remain in place. However, if safety measures are not met, the traffic pattern will adjust and return to the original plan.

Please see the below traffic advisory for further information.
