Learn how to be better prepared in an emergency at a free Emergency Awareness Event tonight from 6-9 PM at the Senior Center, 8484 Munson Road. The City of Mentor, Lake County Emergency Management Agency, American Red Cross and other area agencies want to make sure that you are better prepared for the next emergency … before it occurs.

The agencies are working with Lake Communicators, an organization of marketing and communications specialists, on a campaign to educate people on the importance of being ready before an emergency strikes.

There will be opportunities to meet with these agencies, ask questions and provide feedback. Mentor residents will also be able to sign up for Mentor’s Well-Check Database.

Participants also include First Energy, 2-1-1, Lake County Emergency Planning Committee, Laketran, Dominion East Ohio, Lake County General Health District and United Way of Lake County.

The event is open to all; registration not required. More information.
