Fall Fun in Mentor

Hayrides, scarecrows, and Halloween, all highlight the fall season and the Mentor Recreation Department will host plenty of fun fall activities. Grab a sweater and make some fall memories!

Mysteries of the Manor Trail – The popular golf cart hayride is back! Explore the Manor Trail on a not-too-spooky family ride. The festive evening includes a bonfire, hay pyramid, dancing, games, and even a rotten Easter Egg Hunt.  Food available for purchase. Cost is $12 each (Children under 2 are free). Offered multiple times. Spaces fill up quickly so be sure to register early online or call (440) 974-5720.

Adults can also sign up for a 21+ Golf CarT Hayride on October 21st at 7 PM. A fully immersive Halloween experience. Also, enjoy games, costume contest, dancing, and a whole lot of fun! Food and adult beverages available to purchase. Cost is $15 each.

Howl-o-ween for Dogs – Bring your dog (in costume of course) to the Mentor Dog Park on Friday, October 14th from 5:30 – 6:30 PM for a Halloween party like no other. Tails will wag as your pup participates in a costume parade, plays with the other partygoers, and takes part in trick or (dog) treats.  Free.

Trick or Treat – Happy Halloween! Trick or Treat is observed on Monday, October 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Family Scarecrow Contest – Get creative and enter the Family Scarecrow Contest! Pick up a kit (wood, nails & straw) at Wildwood starting September 19th. Scarecrows will be displayed at Wildwood starting October 3rd. Prizes will be awarded to winning entries. Cost is $20 for residents, and $24 for nonresidents.

Halloween Public Skate – Have a spooky good time at the Mentor Ice Arena on October 29th! Our Halloween skate featuring DJ Stray is fun for the whole family! Wear a costume for free skate rental. Admission: Adults $9 / Children $7.
