Curtis Lau and Amber Torres González are the newest members of the Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board. They were sworn in during the board’s regular August 16 meeting.
Established by Ohio statute, the ADAMHS Board plans, evaluates, monitors, and funds services for Lake County residents with mental illness and/or addiction disorders. Those services are delivered through a network of providers. Board members are all Lake County residents who serve without compensation.
Lau, a Mentor resident, is a retired clinical pharmacist and an active community member. He was appointed to the ADAMHS Board by the Lake County Board of Commissioners.
Torres González is bilingual educator with extensive experience helping students and families develop and maintain strength and resiliency. She was appointed to the ADAMHS Board by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
During the meeting ADAMHS Board members also approved the Fiscal Year 2022 Slate of Officers. Andy Meinhold will serve as Board Chair, Matt Sabo as Vice Chair, Roberta Kalb as Treasurer, Joanne Zeroske as Secretary and Dave Enzerra as Past Chair.
