A remembrance service for Mentor K9 Officer Achilles will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Mentor Safety Forces Memorial located at 8467 Civic Center Boulevard.
Achilles passed away on August 18, 2024, due to a sudden medical emergency. He began service with Mentor Police Department in April 2019 alongside his partner/handler, Patrolman Terry Wurgler. Over the past 5 years, he served with courage and dedication. His impact on the department and community will not be forgotten.
