The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor decreased to 4.1% for the month of February 2019. One year ago, the unemployment rate was 5.0%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate decreased to 4.7% from 5.0% for the month of February.

The City of Mentor’s unemployment rate is the fifth lowest at 4.1% among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more. Lakewood has the lowest unemployment rate of 3.6%. The City’s civilian labor force increased by 400 to 26,400.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate decreased 0.7% to 4.7% for the month of February.
