The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor increased 0.2% to 3.7% for the month of February 2024. One year ago, the unemployment rate was 4.0%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate increased 0.2% to 4.4% for the month of February; one year prior, it was 4.0%.

Among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more, Mentor has the lowest unemployment rate with 3.7%, Lakewood has the next lowest rate at 3.8%, Columbus has the third lowest rate with 3.9%, and Kettering has the fourth lowest rate at 4.0%. The City’s civilian labor force decreased 800 to 25,900.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate increased 0.2% to 4.4% for the month of February 2024. The rate for the State was 4.2% in February 2023.
