Mentor Job Report

The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor increased 0.4% to 4.3% for the month of February 2025. One year ago, the unemployment rate was 3.9%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate increased 0.4% to 4.9% for the month of February; one year prior, it was 4.6%.

Among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more, Lakewood has the lowest unemployment rate with 3.7%, Mentor has the next lowest rate at 4.3%, Cleveland Heights has the third lowest rate with 4.4%, and Kettering has the fourth lowest rate at 4.8%. The City’s civilian labor force decreased 400 to 25,500.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate increased 0.1% to 5.4% for the month of February 2025. The rate for the State was 4.5% in February 2024.
