The City of Mentor welcomes Easy Stop Mini Mart to Mentor’s Diamond Centre area. Easy Stop offers everyday convenience items to grab-on-the-go such as snack foods, beer, wine, cigarettes, lottery, as well as several grocery and dairy items.
Owners Donald Ashba, Sr. and Charles Rauch noticed a need for a convenience store in the Diamond Centre vicinity and immediately acted upon it.
“Everyone that lives, or stays in the hotels, over here doesn’t necessarily want to get a wholesaler membership or drive all the way to Wal-Mart or Giant Eagle just to pick up their last-minute things, so when we saw the lease, we called, and that’s how our business came to be,” says Ashba.
According to Jessica, Charles’ wife, they wanted to claim their own piece of the American dream by starting their own business. “We knew that this was the place to do it,” she says, “Mentor has a lot of businesses opening up, the area is pretty busy, and the community supports their local businesses.”
