Are you looking for some good ole American comfort food? Then try Master D’s Grille & Pizzeria which opened up last month on Mentor Avenue.
Owner/chef, Dennis Blakeslee, serves up heaping helpings of favorites including burgers, sandwiches, wings, pizza, gyros, salads, apps, and more. He even offers Keto and vegetarian options so there is something on the menu for everyone.
Master D’s is the third restaurant venture for the Lake Catholic graduate and has become a passion for him.
“I love to cook and it’s something I’m good at. It was really my kids and my girlfriend who inspired me to get into the business years ago,” says Blakeslee.
When asked what people can expect, he says that customers are sure to be satisfied with the great flavor and generous portions.
“It’s disgustingly delicious,” he remarks with a laugh, “When I opened up my first place, people were literally licking the juice of their plate, so I knew I was onto something good.”
His personal favorite is the Big D Burger which is topped with three kinds of cheeses, crispy bacon and homemade slaw but is extremely proud his corned beef dishes as well. When asked why he chose Mentor, the answer was simple.
“Mentor is where I grew up and went to school. My Mentor roots run deep,” he says, “When this location opened up, I jumped at the chance because of the number of cars that drive by every single day – plus I get to be near the ones I love.”
Master D’s is located at 7502 Mentor Ave. and is open for lunch or dinner…and will soon be open for breakfast as well.
